A little about us.

William Joseph “Joe” Moore started in the insurance business in 1983 selling mostly payroll deduction plans to businesses; this was after many years in various careers. His wife Jackie Moore has been the bookkeeper since Tennessee Senior Benefits’ conception.

By 1987, Joe then began focusing on the senior market, life insurance, and Medicare plans and Tennessee Senior Benefits (TSB) was born. Payroll deduction, burial insurance, and Medicare products became a larger focus as the years passed. In addition to serving as President of Tennessee Senior Benefits, Joe Moore became a Regional Marketing Director for Shenandoah Life Insurance Company in 2000. TSB was in the top ten in sales for Shenandoah Life Insurance Company for eight straight years.

In 2005, TSB expanded their products to include new plans that came from the Medicare Modernization Act of 2003. The Medicare overhaul included federal funding for Medicare Advantage plans, also known as Part C of Medicare. This opened up a variety of additional opportunities for all Medicare recipients.

Greg Moore became licensed and joined Tennessee Senior Benefits in 1997 while pursuing his education at the University of Tennessee. After graduating, Greg began working full-time in 2004. He now serves as President of Tennessee Senior Benefits.

Joe Moore passed away in August 10th, 2011, at which time Jackie Moore took over the responsibilities of ownership and management.

Patricia Dukes joined the company as a licensed agent in 2008. Lousie Smith was also hired in 2008 as our secretary. Lora Moore became licensed and joined the company in 2013. She now serves as Vice-President of the company.
